The Shed

Evidently, there is certain stuff we can store in Amander Commander & some other types of stuff we can’t. This presented a bit of an issue for me & required an immense amount of deep thought to resolve.

To date, here is a list of stuff we can’t keep in Amander, apparently…

  • Surf Boards
  • Diving Gear
  • Spearfishing Gear
  • Other Fishing Gear
  • Tools
  • Surfboards
  • Good bits of wood
  • Gadget thingamajigs
  • Anything smelly, wet or dirty
  • Weekend camping gear
  • Guests
  • Anything that snores for extended periods
  • Other items yet to classified &
  • Surfboards

This means we have to tow something behind Amander to store all this essential touring equipment (or crap, as Jayne calls it).

So, as a result of much research, we think we have found a solution. Here’s a picture of the thing we will tow behind Amander to keep stuff in.

We pick it up later this month!

It will have many functions

  • Storage Shed
  • Performing dawn patrols in search of surf/seafood/supplies without disturbing/moving Amander the Commander while she’s resting.
  • Amander winch load test calibration unit
  • Forward scout vehicle
  • Amander Commander rear facing webcam mount
  • Guest accommodation
  • Pop down to the shops vehicle
  • Rear bumper bar for Amander

We are also in the process of having a slide on camper built to house all the stuff listed above. It should be complete in a couple of months. The guys at Tong Metal produce some awesome gear. Check them out here.

The whole thing will end up looking something like this when complete.

Amazing!! Can’t wait to follow you guys when you get going! Whats the estimated departure date?

    • Hi Kathy! We’re at least a few months away from departure – hopefully early next year but we need a few other things to fall into place first.
