It’s been a very busy day here at Ann Bay. There was not even enough room left to park ya horse.

The local Amish community apparently like to visit the beach as well

They did look a fair bit Amish, but they all turned up in an old L300 van instead of a horse & buggy, so we’re not so sure.

We’re still finding it difficult to get a good photo of our blue bird of happiness but it’s only a matter of time.

Today the surf was a bit better around at Periwinkle Beach (Nettley’s Bay, red pin). Waves were about shoulder high with the occasional bigger set. Lots of fun.

We also made a visit to the local shop & pub where there’s a bit of local marine history on photographic display as well as some surf photos of previous epic days in the region. Including some autographed international surf comp posters and some evidence of a visit from the crazy Storm Chasers crew.
We’re also eating far too well so it’s time to go for a long walk along Ann Bay to work off a wonderful dinner of Prawn & Mushroom Gnocchi (gluten free) in Napoletana sauce washed down with possibly the last of our Yabby Lake Syrah.
