Jeanneret Beach- Bay of Fires

We thought we’d stay here for a couple of days… Then, all of a sudden, it was 2 weeks later! No reason to leave really…

This stay was all free camping & unplugged. We are very happy with the solar panels (390 Watts) & battery (200AH) setup. The batteries never seem to go off full charge.

Looking back from the point at Jeanneret Beach Camp Ground.

A couple of times a week we’d make the big trip into St Helens (about 12km) to stock up on supplies & fill the new 60 litre water tank in the Cruiser from one of the public “drinking water roadside points” (how good is being a Nomad in Tassie). Once back at camp the water was pumped into the van tanks. This process works really well & saves lugging jerry cans of water, or moving the van to fill up.

We eventually dragged ourselves away & back to Launceston. From there we flew back to Newy for some “werrrrk” & more importantly Christmas with friends & family.

Beauty & The Beast

Jeanneret Point

Spot the Lone Surfer

Noice spot for a quick dip

Very pretty spots were discovered here & there while clambering over rocks from Jeanneret Beach to Binalong Bay Beach.
