Yes we’re back on the road after a multitude of diversions & distractions. There’s lots of blog gaps still to be filled in, but we’ll get to all that later.
Our Tassie trip seems over a lifetime ago & we are well overdue for some warmer weather. Hence, we’ve set the controls for the heart of the sun, as Pink Floyd put it.
The “Plan”? Simply head North & keep the water on the right, repeat until it gets warm. That should do it!
Yamba had been a good start. 26 degrees here yesterday. Much to our surprise Yamba appears to have turned into a thriving little metropolis since we were last here. I guess a fair bit can happen in a bit over 30 years…
Angourie is still very pretty & much the same, although many of the houses now seem a whole lot bigger.
Lots of lovely paths to explore
The beach is still world class. Swell or no swell.
So, there’s not much swell currently.
So, what to do when there’s no surf? Well,
Sew!
Jayne is on a mission to manufacture a cover for the speargun & fishing rod so they can be safely stored & protected In the 150mm conduit storage on top of the Landcruiser. It should also stop the possibility of being speared from the back seat should we be unlucky enough to have a bingle.
The possibilities are endless now that we’ve installed a 2000W inverter in the van.
Heading to Tweed Heads tomorrow, or maybe the next day…
