Too Big, Too Windy, Too Sloppy

As per usual, the promise of good things to come in the wave department is well out of proportion to our actual requirements.

Lighthouse beach has some huge waves rolling thru today.  The photo below does not do it justice. I reckon our van would fit under that breaking ledge! Too big.

So with the wise judgement of a 55 year old that lacks a JetSki & the body & indestructible misjudgement of a 20 something year old the decision was made to ” No way am I going anywhere near that!”

There was not another soul in sight & no one else out in the water. The odd bigger sets rolling thru were very impressive to watch.

Back at camp in Ann Bay the wind has picked up (as predicted) & the beach here is just mush.

News on the Knitting front.

I’m now a fully certified member ou the “Kooks on Tour” crew. Full certification requires the possession of a hand made beanie from the crafty hands of Glenn.

Yes I know, I can hear you saying, “Hmm, it looks a bit plain…”, but that’s where you’d be wrong. This little beauty has a sting in the tail.

When viewed from above it looks a bit like a phycadelic target bullseye for psychotic swooping magpies. I’ll test that feature out later during the nesting season.

Last night in Tazmazia tonight. Lots of packing up to do tomorrow before hitching up. Not really, Jayne has already done most of this & she has left me a check list.

So it’s back on the road tomorrow with the rest of the nomads



And I thought I was the only one!
