The Nut – Stanley

After a very busy & wonderful Christmas week with family & friends in Newy, we’re back on the road in Tassie. One month down, 3 to go!

On our last day in Newy, we woke at 4:30am to catch a taxi, a train, a plane & another taxi before we drove off with the van from just outside Launceston to arrive at Stanley on the North West coast at about 3:15pm. Big day. Big Nut. Bit tired. Early night. Big Sleep. Carny life is hard, sometimes.

Blue Sky

Did I mention brilliant sunshine one minute & 40 knot wind & driving rain the next?

Grey Sky
(About 10 minutes apart)

With the wind & rain howling for most of the night, the camping area appeared to have a lot less tents (up or down) in the morning after.

We are here (blue dot), it’s really windy.

Oh! I caught my first lobster!

What a beauty!
For some reason, Jayne was not amused…
