Wandering about the Bay of Fires today after a couple of wet & windy days. It’s literally a breath of very fresh air to walk along the beach in the sun.
Some of the more rugged parts of the coast reminded us a bit of places we’d been to in Ireland, but not quite as rocky & craggy.

Great walking tracks all over TAS.

What’s not to lichen about this lot. It’s everywhere around these parts.

Very purdy
Did a run to St Helens to do some shopping, dump garbage, dump grey water & get fresh water.
Water fetching involves finding a drinking water tap, (some towns have them), filling the 60lt water tank in the cruiser & pumping that into the van tanks when we get back to camp. Currently using a pump run from a cordless drill ( bit slow) but have a “tinkering” plan to upgrade to a pump the same as what’s in the van, so it will work faster & provide a working spare. Carnies have to tinker, it’s part of the prerequisites for being a nomad.
Fish for tea tonight. Not by my own hand (unless you count waving a Visa card as hunting & gathering).
The seas have been a bit rough of late so no opportunity to spear/catch a fish, but it will happen… We’ve identified a number of potential spots to do some fishing, when it’s calmer (forecast to be sometime around April).
